Chet Samuelson, a Utah native has over 20 years of Commercial Banking experience and serves as the Market President for Hillcrest Bank since December 2018. Chet received his Bachelor of Science and MBA from Weber State University in Ogden, Utah, and began his career in Ogden with Bank One. He remained through the bank's merger with J.P. Morgan Chase, working for them through 2014 in positions ranging from Credit Analyst to Senior Banker. During that time, he also led the effort as Chase Commercial Bank expanded into Idaho through their acquisition of Washington Mutual in 2008.
In 2014, Samuelson joined the Wells Fargo Commercial Bank in Utah and led the Global Banking expansion effort for Wells Fargo and its Middle Market customers, serving as Global Banking Regional Manager for the eight mountain states. He has served on numerous boards, including the Utah World Trade Center, Mountain West Capital Network, Utah Microenterprise Fund and the Utah County Chamber of Commerce.
Brad has 15+ years in banking with 10+ in Commercial Treasury Management. Today Brad is focused on Relationship Management with an emphasis on helping his clients succeed financially. He has extensive experience with bank account structures and optimizing funds flow to enhance the cash conversion cycle. Prior to his current role Brad was a SVP at Wells Fargo Bank as part of their Treasury Management Consulting team. Brad is a Certified Treasury Professional and avid student of business processes. Brad received a degree for management information systems from BYU’s Marriot School of Business.
David joined Hillcrest Bank May 2019 as Senior Vice President and Commercial Relationship Manager. In this role, David is responsible for growing Hillcrest Bank’s brand presence in the Greater Utah Region by new client acquisition and community involvement. Prior to joining Hillcrest, David spent 13 years at SunTrust Bank in Florida where he finished his tenure as head of commercial banking for the greater Central Florida region. At SunTrust, David led a team of Commercial Relationship Managers focused on delivering advisory services and complex capital solutions to middle market clients. Additionally, David’s team was responsible for the Central Florida Not-For-Profit organizations and advised them on tax-exempt financings, new market tax credit and other capital structuring solutions. While at SunTrust, David served on many community and advisory boards, led the bank’s diversity and inclusion efforts for Central Florida and was a graduate of both Leadership Seminole and Leadership Orlando. Prior to SunTrust, David spent 8 years at SouthTrust Bank before being acquired by Wachovia.
David received his a Bachelor’s in Political Science – Pre Law from the University of Central Florida.
Golden has more than 16 years of experience in banking and financial services. He joined Hillcrest Bank in 2019. He is responsible for funding commercial and industrial loans to middle market sized commercial businesses. He has extensive experience in real estate, construction, equipment and working capital lines of credit. Prior to joining Hillcrest Bank, he was a Vice President, Commercial Business Manager at First National Bank of Layton (Now First Community Bank). Prior to FNB, he worked for Zions Bancorp in the construction and mortgage department. Golden received a diploma from SW Graduate School of Banking (SWGSB), SMU in Dallas, TX and has a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Utah, Salt Lake City, UT.
Greg Takenaka joined Hillcrest Bank in 2019 as a Commercial Portfolio Manager. Prior to joining Hillcrest, he was a Vice President/Credit Analysis Supervisor in the Business Banking Group at Wells Fargo. Previously he was a Vice President in the Credit Risk Management Group at Goldman Sachs with oversight of the Private Bank portfolio. His previous experience includes time as a Commercial Credit Analyst, Business Relationship Manager, Credit Analysis Supervisor, and a Senior Credit Manager. Mr. Takenaka has over 20 years of commercial and private wealth banking experience. Greg has a BS in Business Management from the University of Utah as well as an MBA from Westminster College.
Rebecca joined Hillcrest Bank in May 2019 as a Commercial and Specialty Banking Specialist. Rebecca has more than 9 years of banking experience, coming from a background in both retail and business banking. Today she works closely with the Commercial Relationship Managers and their clients throughout the loan process and ongoing banking needs. Previously Rebecca spent 3 years in Wells Fargo’s Business Banking group as a Business Associate assisting with business loans and treasury management product and services. Rebecca received a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Utah State University.
