Doing Good Week of Caring: Giving Back to the Communities We Serve

3 min read

At Hillcrest Bank, Doing Good Week of Caring is all about coming together to make a meaningful impact. Every year in September, our associates roll up their sleeves and give their time and energy to make a meaningful difference across the neighborhoods we serve. Whether it's lending a hand at the local food bank, supporting community well-being initiatives, or fixing up homes for families in need, together, we're making a difference.

Spotlight on Volunteer Activities

Austin, Texas

Kerr County Flood Relief

The Hillcrest Bank team in Austin traveled to Kerr County to represent the bank’s support for the community and victims of the recent flooding.

Salt Lake City, Utah

Utah Community Action - Shriver Head Start Program

Associates read and played with children and helped beautify both the inside and outside of the facility. A rewarding day focused on early childhood education and creating a welcoming space for families.

Red River, New Mexico

North Central Food Pantry
The Red River team helped clean the facility, package food, and distribute supplies to the community, providing essential support to families in need.

Lindon, Utah

City of Lindon
Associates partnered with the City of Lindon to beautify a city park and auxiliary building. The team filled an entire dumpster with leaves and pine needles and spread an entire pallet of bark mulch to refresh the landscape.

Albuquerque, New Mexico

Casa Esperanza
Associates purchased, prepared, and served food to patients and their families staying at Casa Esperanza, a hospitality house supporting those undergoing medical treatment.

Provo, Utah

Food & Care Coalition
Local associates volunteered to serve meals to individuals experiencing homelessness and food insecurity, helping provide dignity and nourishment.

Spanish Fork, Utah

Spanish Fork Senior Center
A team of associates spent time giving back to local seniors through service and support activities.

Eagles Gate, Idaho

Ronald McDonald House
Associates volunteered to show support at the Ronald McDonald House, which provides housing and resources to families with hospitalized children.

Taos, New Mexico

Hillcrest Bank Community Shred Event
The Taos banking center hosted a free Community Shred Event, giving residents a safe and secure way to dispose of sensitive documents. Events like this help protect against identity theft while supporting our commitment to community service and financial wellness. In just 3 hours, the team assisted 97 community members and shredded over 5,100 pounds of paper!

Looking Ahead

Hillcrest Bank is grateful to our community partners and proud of our teams for their dedication. The impact of this week goes beyond the volunteer hours -- it strengthens our communities and reflects who we are as an organization. We are already looking forward to Doing Good Week of Caring 2026!
