Timothy Laney Founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Mr. Laney has served as the Company’s Chief Executive Officer since 2010 as well as Chairman of the Board since 2014 and currently holds the same positions and directorships at NBH Bank and Bank of Jackson Hole Trust, including serving as the chairman on its Trust Committee. Mr. Laney was a founder of National Bank Holdings Corporation and also previously served as the Company’s President from 2010 through 2024. As of 2025, Mr. Laney is a board member of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City Denver Branch. Additionally, he is also a board member of Finexio, the Moffitt Cancer Center, the Chairman of the USA Weightlifting Foundation and is the founder of the NBH Bank Do More Charity Challenge®. Mr. Laney has also served as a board member of the Colorado Bankers Association. Mr. Laney is the former Senior Executive Vice President and Head of Business Services at Regions Financial, one of the nation’s largest full-service banks. He joined Regions Financial in late 2007 to lead the transformation of the bank’s wholesale lines of business. Prior to his tenure at Regions Financial, Mr. Laney had a 24-year tenure with Bank of America, where he held senior management roles in small business, commercial banking, private banking, corporate marketing and change management. He also served as President of Bank of America, Florida, with more than 800 banking centers and $50 billion in total assets. He was also a member of Bank of America’s Management Operating committee. Mr. Laney brings to our Board of Directors valuable and extensive experience from managing and overseeing a broad range of banking operations for more than 35 years. Aldis Birkans President Read Bio Aldis Birkans President Mr. Birkans has served as the Company’s President since September 2024. Mr. Birkans served as the Company's Chief Financial Officer from August 2018 to September 2024 and has served as the Company’s Treasurer from 2011 through February 2021. He has also served as a member of NBH Bank’s board of directors since August 2018. As of January 2021, Mr. Birkans is a board member of the USDF Consortium, of which NBHC is a founding member. Prior to joining the Company in 2011, Mr. Birkans was a Vice President, Assistant Treasurer of M&I Bank for five years, where he was responsible for capital management, investments, corporate liquidity and risk management related to the bank’s financial activities. In addition, Mr. Birkans worked at Citigroup as a Senior Vice President, Corporate and Investment Bank Treasury. Mr. Birkans holds a Master of Business Administration from Southern Methodist University, where he also received his Bachelor’s degree in economics and finance. John Steinmetz Executive Vice Chair and Executive Managing Director of Strategic Initiatives Read Bio John Steinmetz Executive Vice Chair and Executive Managing Director of Strategic Initiatives Mr. Steinmetz serves as the Company’s Executive Vice Chair and Executive Managing Director of Strategic Initiatives at Hillcrest Bank, as well as a member of the board of directors of Hillcrest Bank, roles he has held since January 7, 2026, the date of closing of the merger of Vista Bancshares, Inc. with and into the Company. In this role, Mr. Steinmetz leads the Texas and resort markets for the bank, ensuring continuity while actively pursuing strategic expansion in high-growth regions. Prior to the Merger, Mr. Steinmetz held various leadership roles with Vista Bancshares, Inc. and Vista Bank since joining the bank in 2007, most recently serving as Vice-Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Vista Bancshares, Inc. and Vice Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Vista Bank. In these roles, he oversaw all commercial and retail functions of Vista Bank while focusing on adding shareholder value. During his time at Vista Bank, he successfully led Vista Bank through a capital raise and complete rebrand allowing Vista Bank to expand throughout multiple Texas markets and Palm Beach, Florida. Under Mr. Steinmetz’s leadership, Vista Bank relocated its domicile to Dallas, Texas, where he led strong consistent organic growth while building a reputation for putting “people first.” Envisioning and leading the first banking and financial literacy ecosystem in the Fair Park community of South Dallas in over three decades, Mr. Steinmetz focused on teaching entrepreneurs to fish in a historically underserved community. Serving on the Texas Tech University System Board of Regents from 2011 – 2023, Mr. Steinmetz chaired the Finance and Audit Committee where he oversaw Texas Tech University’s two-billion-dollar annual operating budget and consistently fought to ensure college affordability for all students. Mr. Steinmetz is a past member of the Dallas Citizens Council's Board of Directors and Dallas Museum of Art's Finance Committee. He is currently a member of the Young Professionals Organization (YPO) Lonestar and Aspen chapters as well as the exclusive Chief Executives Organization. Mr. Steinmetz holds a Bachelor in Business Administration in Finance from the Texas Tech University Rawls College of Business. Nicole Van Denabeele Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer Read Bio Nicole Van Denabeele Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer Ms. Van Denabeele has served as the Company's Chief Financial Officer since September 2024 and currently holds the same position at NBH Bank and Bank of Jackson Hole Trust. She is also a member of NBH Bank's board of directors and Bank of Jackson Hole Trust's board of directors. Ms. Van Denabeele served as the Company’s Chief Accounting Officer from 2018 to September 2024 and concurrently served as President of Bank Midwest, a division of NBH Bank, from September 2020 to June 2024. Prior to joining the Company, Ms. Van Denabeele was Controller at the law firm of Polsinelli and Senior Vice President, Assistant Controller at UMB Financial Corporation. In addition, Ms. Van Denabeele worked in the audit practice of Deloitte for six years, most recently as Audit Manager. Ms. Van Denabeele holds a Master of Accounting and Information Systems Degree and Bachelor of Accounting and Business Administration Degree, both from the University of Kansas. She is also a certified public accountant. Richard U. Newfield, Jr. Chief Risk Officer Read Bio Richard U. Newfield, Jr. Chief Risk Officer Mr. Newfield has served as the Company’s Chief Risk Management Officer since 2011 and currently holds the same position at NBH Bank. He has also served as a member of NBH Bank’s board of directors since 2016. Mr. Newfield is the former Head of Business Services Credit at Regions Bank. He joined Regions in 2008 after a 23-year career at Bank of America. Mr. Newfield held various senior positions at Bank of America, including roles in risk management, credit, commercial banking, global bank debt and corporate marketing. He brings significant experience in development and implementation of business models and integration of businesses during mergers. In addition, Mr. Newfield has led credit process reengineering initiatives, including risk and credit policy design, and other corporate governance initiatives. Dan Sznewajs Chief Corporate Development Officer and Treasurer Read Bio Dan Sznewajs Chief Corporate Development Officer and Treasurer Mr. Sznewajs has served as the Company’s Chief Corporate Development Officer since January 2025, he is also the Company’s Treasurer and holds the same positions at NBH Bank and Bank of Jackson Hole Trust. Mr. Sznewajs joined NBH in 2014 and has served in various capacities during his tenure at the Company, including overseeing financial planning & analysis, capital markets and NBH Ventures. Mr. Sznewajs was added as a member of the Board of Directors for NBH Bank and Bank of Jackson Hole Trust in January 2025. Prior to joining NBH, Mr. Sznewajs was a Vice President at Goldman, Sachs & Co. for five years in New York City, where he worked in their Financial Institutions Group. He was previously a Commissioned Examiner at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago in the Safety and Soundness Division where he specialized in capital markets. Mr. Sznewajs currently serves as an Advisory Board Member of the Young Americans Education Foundation and Young Americans Bank. He holds a Masters of Business Administration from Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management and a Bachelors in Finance and Strategy from Washington University in St. Louis. Angela N. Petrucci Chief Administrative Officer & General Counsel Read Bio Angela N. Petrucci Chief Administrative Officer & General Counsel Ms. Petrucci has served as the Company’s Chief Administrative Officer & General Counsel since July 2020, and currently oversees our legal, compliance, BSA/AML, marketing, and human resources functions. She is also a member of NBH Bank’s board of directors and currently serves as the Chief Administrative Officer & General Counsel of NBH Bank. She joined the Company in 2015 as Associate General Counsel and has served as the General Counsel of NBH Bank since 2017. Ms. Petrucci brings significant experience in banking, corporate transactional, securities and corporate governance matters over the span of her 20-plus-year career. Prior to joining the Company, Ms. Petrucci was in-house counsel at Accenture, overseeing corporate governance and securities matters. Prior to that, she was an associate at the law firm of Chapman and Cutler LLP in Chicago, IL. Before attending law school, Ms. Petrucci was a commercial banker at First Chicago Bank (now JP Morgan Chase). Ms. Petrucci currently serves as a board member of the Young Americans Education Foundation and Young Americans Bank. She is also a member of the Colorado Bankers Association Government Affairs Committee. David Stahl Hillcrest Bank Market President, and Head of Business Banking 385.300.7216 Read Bio David Stahl Hillcrest Bank Market President, and Head of Business Banking David is currently serving as Head of Business Banking, and Utah & Idaho Market President for Hillcrest Bank. In this role, David is responsible for leading the Business Banking efforts in our Markets and supporting the local Business Banking Relationship Managers in serving the clients and prospective clients through our communities. This includes working with all industry types, including not for profits and helping advise them on operational efficiencies through our comprehensive treasury management platform, senior debt structures, SBA and growth strategies. Prior to joining Hillcrest Bank, David spent 13 years with SunTrust and led the Commercial Banking team in Central Florida. There, David and his team were responsible for managing one of the bank’s largest portfolios and was very active in one of the banks legacy markets. At SunTrust, David and his team worked with privately held companies on transition planning, increasing shareholder value and leveraging the banks universal banking platform which included investment banking and leveraged finance capabilities. In the community, David is currently serving on committees for MountainWest Capital Network, EDC Utah, Utah Black Chamber, United Way of Salt Lake City and current member of Leadership Utah. David received his Bachelor Degree in Political Science – Pre-Law from the University of Central Florida.
